Careers at Bimaris Capital
A small team, one company, and a long horizon. If that is the kind of work you are looking for, we would like to hear from you.
How we work together
In our search fund we work with mutual support and collaboration toward a shared goal, with strong commitment and personal accountability.
We genuinely enjoy what we do, and over time we have built a way of working that combines trust, responsibility, individual initiative and deep expertise.
A search fund is a small structure by design. There is no layer between the analysis and the decision, and no distance between the work and its consequences. Everyone sees the whole picture: the sourcing calls, the financial model, the conversation with an owner who is deciding what happens to the company they founded, and later the operating reality of running that business.
That means the work is broad rather than narrow. In a single week you might build a valuation model, prepare a board pack, speak with a seller, and review a commercial diligence finding. It also means the work is slow in the right places. We take the time to understand a company properly, and we take the time to earn an owner’s trust.
What we look for in a teammate
- Analytical rigour. You are comfortable with financial statements, cash-flow models and the difference between an accounting result and an economic one.
- Judgement over process. You can tell which questions matter in a diligence process and which are noise, and you say so.
- Genuine respect for owners. You understand that selling a company is a personal decision before it is a financial one, and you treat every conversation with discretion.
- Ownership of outcomes. You finish what you start, you flag problems early, and you do not need to be managed through the detail.
- Clear written and spoken communication. In Spanish and in English, with owners, advisers and investors.
- Comfort with ambiguity. A search fund has no playbook for every situation. You are able to make a reasoned decision with incomplete information and revise it when new facts arrive.
- A long-term outlook. The interesting part of this work begins after the acquisition closes.
How we work
- Direct exposure from day one. You will speak with business owners, sit in on diligence sessions and contribute to board material. There is no rotation programme and no waiting period.
- Madrid and Abu Dhabi. The search is run between the two, with the target company in Spain. We work flexibly across both time zones and travel when the work requires it.
- Confidentiality as a default. Every company we look at, and every owner we speak with, is treated as confidential unless we are told otherwise.
- Small team, real responsibility. You will own workstreams end to end and be accountable for them.
- Learning by proximity. Our investors and Board of Directors are entrepreneurs and operators who have built and sold companies. Their time is available to the team, not only to the partner.
- A path into operating. For the right person, the natural continuation of this work is a role inside the acquired company after closing.
